In accordance with the Council Procedure Rules, Article 4.01/26, the Chief Executive has agreed that exceptional circumstances apply and a motion will be proposed to substitute Councillor Lorraine Beavers with Councillor Rob Fail for the duration of this meeting.

To receive any declarations of interest from any members of the Committee on any item on this agenda.

To confirm as a correct record the minutes of the last meeting of the Audit Committee held on 23 July 2024. Subject to the following amendments to be made:

·         A correction to the court fees response

·         A correction to the assets for sales response

·         And a correction to a misquoted figure of £500,000 received by the Baxter Group to £5,000 approximately.

Clare James, the Director of Finance and Governance (Section 151 Officer), will update members of the committee on the letter received from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

External auditors from Deloitte will present to the committee a Planning Report on the 2021/22 and 2022/23 account audits.

Joanne Billington, Assistant Director of Governance and Legal (Monitoring Officer) will provide members of the committee with an update on the Annual Review of the Council’s Risk Management Policy.

Jane Collier, Human Resources and Organisational Development Manager, has submitted a report on the number and status of complaints received since the previous meeting under the Members’ Code of Conduct.

The next scheduled meeting of the Audit and Standards Committee is Tuesday 12 November 2024 at 6pm in the Council Chamber.
