The Service Director Health and Wellbeing submitted a report seeking agreement to the procurement of essential replacement equipment for Garstang Swimming Pool funded by the Leisure Management Reserve and approval for an exemption from the contract procedures.

Decisions taken

The Leisure, Health and Community Engagement Portfolio Holder agreed that that the repair – a new hoist at Garstang Swimming Pool - be financed by the Leisure Management Reserve at a cost of £5,790.

The Resources Portfolio Holder gave approval for the repair under the exemptions to contract procedures contained within the Financial Regulations and Financial Procedure Rules, on the grounds that the goods, works or services are of a specialised nature carried out by only one or a limited number of firms with no reasonably satisfactory alternatives available.
