Decision:

The Corporate Director Environment submitted a report asking the Neighbourhood Services and Community Safety Portfolio Holder to approve changes to simplify the tariff structure for all Wyre Pay & Display long stay car parks and to approve changes to the tariff structure for the purchase of Resident Parking Permits.

 

Decision

 

The Neighbourhood Services and Community Safety Portfolio Holder agreed that

 

1.    The current All Day parking ticket be replaced by a 24 hour ticket.

 

2.    From 1 April 2020, the proposed payment structure for long stay car parks would be

 

·         Up to 1 hour - £1

·         Up to 3 hours - £2

·         Up to 24 hours - £3.50

·         Night (6pm – 8am) - £2

 

3.    A renewal fee of £10.00 + VAT for a replacement Resident Parking permit be introduced

The Corporate Director Environment submitted a report seeking approval for LED lighting works to the Civic Centre, Poulton-le-Fylde and for the scheme to be included in the Council’s 2020/21 Capital Programme, funded from capital receipts.

The Resources Portfolio Holder gave approval for LED lighting works to the Civic Centre and agreed that the scheme, costing £33,820 (Including contingencies), be added to the Council’s 2020/21 Capital Programme, funded from capital receipts.

19/03/2020 - Environmental Enforcement Services Specialist - Pilot Extension ref: 340    Recommendations Approved

Decision:

The Corporate Director Environment submitted a report seeking approval to extend the current pilot agreement with District Enforcement to continue undertaking specialist enforcement services to address environmental crime issues such as dog fouling, littering and other dog control measures under the Public Space Protection Orders on behalf of Wyre Council until December 2020.

 

Decision

 

The portfolio holder agreed that

 

·         the pilot with District Enforcement be extended until the end of March 2021, based on the current model which is cost neutral and carries no financial risk, and that the existing three month termination period for both parties be retained, thereafter taking account of the recommendations of the task group.

 

·         the agreement be dealt with under the exemptions to Contract Procedures contained within the Financial Regulations and Financial Procedure Rules on the grounds that the services constitute an extension or variation of an existing contract.

Decision:

The Corporate Director Communities submitted a report seeking the portfolio holder‘s approval to contribute £25,000 per year for two years from the Flexible Homelessness Support Grant to maintain provision of the current nine family units at George Williams House and ensure exclusive use of two of these units for Wyre Council. The contribution would form part of the scheme’s contract with Lancashire County Council.

 

Decision

 

The portfolio holder agreed to contributions of £25,000 in 2020/21 and in 2021/22 to George Williams House to be paid to Lancashire County Council from the Flexible Homelessness Support Grant.
