Report of the Service Director Health and Wellbeing Decision: The Service Director Health and Wellbeing submitted a report asking for approval of a one-off contribution towards the Raising Aspirations programme to raise the aspirations of local children and better inform them about career opportunities by opening up the world of work and building connections with local employers.

The portfolio holder gave approval for a one-off contribution of £10,000 to Positive Footprints (part of the Regenda Group) towards Raising Aspirations, a programme of support for children in primary schools in Wyre. |

Contract renewal for the delivery of Wyre Wheels PDF 96 KB Report of the Service Director Health and Wellbeing
Decision: The Service Director Health and Wellbeing submitted a report seeking agreement for an exemption to the Council’s contract procedures in order to renew the contract with Fylde Coast YMCA for the delivery of Wyre Wheels.
Decision
The portfolio holder agreed that Fylde Coast YMCA be given a further contract for one year with an option to extend for a further two years to deliver the Wyre Wheels Programme and gave approval to proceed under the exemption to Contract Procedures contained within the Financial Regulations and Financial Procedure Rules (Appendix F) on the grounds that exceptions may apply where “goods, works or services are of a specialist nature carried out by only one or a limited number of firms with no reasonably satisfactory alternatives available.” |

Support for the Procurement of an Economic Toolkit PDF 104 KB Report of the Service Director Performance and Innovation Decision: The Service Director Performance and Innovation requested approval of the use of retained business rates growth from the Hillhouse Technology Enterprise Zone (EZ) to contribute towards the purchase of an Economic Impact Toolkit, joint funded by Fylde and Blackpool Councils.

Motorhome Parking Review PDF 108 KB Report of the Service Director People and Places
Decision: The Service Director People and Places reported the findings of the motorhome trial and made a recommendation for the continuation of the facility and further improvements to the offer.
Decision
The portfolio holder agreed that
· the Wyre Council’s Off Street Car parking Order be amended to include overnight motorhome parking on the Central Car Park, Fleetwood FY7 6QE subject to the statutory consultation responses,
· subject to the statutory consultation responses, improved signage directing motorhomes to the Central Car Park be installed at a cost of £450,
· the provision of toilet, water and sluicing facilities be explored,
· seven bays are clearly marked for motorhome use only at a cost of £375, preventing cars restricting access. |
