Report of the Head of Business Support. Additional documents:
Minutes: The Head of Business Support submitted a report presenting additions and amendments to nine of the council’s Human Resource Policies and procedures.
The members of the committee present asked a number of relevant and in depth questions regarding the detail and content of the policies, particularly in respect to the Social Media Policy, to which the Head of Business Support and the Human Resources Advisor responded to the satisfaction of the committee.
Councillor Swales gave her apologies and left the meeting during discussion of item 4g of the agenda.
Decision taken
The committee approved all of the following reviewed Human Resources Policies and documents:
· Grading Review and Appeal Procedure · Flexitime Working Policy · Time off for Trade Union Duties · Social Media Policy · Disciplinary Policy and Procedure · Appeal against Dismissal Procedure · Resolution Policy · Employee Code of Conduct
The committee also approved the Redundancy Policy and Selection Procedure, which had been updated to reflect new legislation coming into force in November and would need to be further subject to review. |
