The head of business support (HoBS) submitted a report presenting six of the council’s existing human resources policies that had been reviewed and updated and a new policy for Purchase of Additional Annual Leave.
The committee asked a number of relevant questions about the policies to which the HoBS responded to the satisfaction of the members.
Following a question in relation to the issue of body cameras to lone workers, the HoBS informed the committee that the council’s lone workers were equipped with SoloProtect, which was designed as a discreet identity card holder and allowed the wearer to raise an alarm and request a priority-level police response if necessary. The HoBS agreed to ensure that the directors were fully aware that the device was issued to the council’s lone workers.
Resolved that the new Purchase of Additional Annual Leave Policy andrevisions to the following human resources policies be approved
