Report of the Corporate Director Environment.

The Corporate Director Environment submitted a report detailing the review of Wyre’s Statement of Gambling Policy.

The Senior Licensing Officer introduced the report.

She explained to members that the policy was required to be reviewed every three years. This was last done in 2018, where a few substantial changes had been made and were subject to a public consultation. The current Gambling Policy was confirmed and formally adopted in October 2019, but the Council were still bound by the three year timescale to have a review in place by January 2022. The current policy had been reviewed and was still fit for purpose, with no changes needed at this time. She asked members to then consider the policy in its current form and to recommend it to the next available date for Full Council.

It was agreed by members to approve the Statement of Gambling Policy in its current state and to recommend it to the next available meeting of Full Council.
